The Transformation: From Heartbreak to Healing
​”I finally did it, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve officially ‘divorced’ my sister. Let me explain!
​In February 2021, my sister and I got matching tattoos; mine read, ‘little sis, here’s big bro.’ However, by mid-2022, my mother and sister stopped speaking to me entirely. For years, looking down at those words only brought back the hurt of that rejection.
​To commemorate my 60th birthday, I decided to reclaim that space. I’m honoring the loyalty of my three chihuahuas: Elvis and Jack Daniels, who have passed, and Louie, my ‘Little Man’ who is still with me.
​The Redesign:
​The Cover-up: We placed a paw print over ‘sis’ and added ‘man,’ so the tattoo now reads ‘little man.’
